These are the only two tandems in our registry that publish both a packed size and a working pressure, which makes this the one two-person comparison on the site where nothing has to be hedged. Every number below is the manufacturer's own.
The trade is unusually clean. The Sea Eagle SE370 carries 200 lb more. The Driftsun Voyager 2 packs eight linear inches smaller and weighs 5 lb less. Almost everything else follows from those two facts.

Where the 200 lb comes from
Not from the beam -- the Voyager 2 is actually an inch wider. It comes from length and tube volume: 12 ft 6 in of hull displaces materially more water than 10 ft, and the SE370 runs large-diameter tubes at very low pressure to get there.
Whether you need it is a question about what goes in the boat rather than who does. Two adults are the same weight in either. Two adults plus a cooler, a dog and a dry bag is where 450 lb starts to bind, and the roundup on paddling with a dog works through exactly that arithmetic.
Where the eight inches come from
The other direction is just as real. Fifty linear inches is the smallest tandem package we hold a figure for, and packed size behaves differently from weight: it decides whether the boat fits in a car boot with the rest of your luggage, and whether it is a bag you can reasonably carry any distance.
Two rows in that table are worth reading as agreement rather than difference, because they are the reason this comparison is close at all.
Both are three-chamber boats. That is the standard across the kayaks we cover and it is the specification that makes a puncture an inconvenience rather than an emergency -- lose one chamber and the boat still floats and still paddles. Four of the eight kayaks in our registry do not publish a chamber count at all, so two boats that both state it are already in the better half of the category.
Both also publish a packed size, which sounds unremarkable until you notice that the two Intex tandems do not. Being able to check a boat against a car boot, a cupboard or an airline limit before you spend anything is the practical difference between these two and the cheaper end of the category, and it is worth more than the eight linear inches that separate them.
What is left after that is a genuine trade rather than a better and a worse boat, which is why this page does not name an overall winner and the roundups it feeds into rank them differently depending on what is being asked.
So which one
Buy the Voyager 2 if the boat has to travel, live in a small space, or be carried from the car by one person. It gives up capacity you may never use to solve the problem you will meet every single trip.
Buy the SE370 if you load a boat up. Gear, a third passenger, a dog, a fishing kit -- the capacity is real and the length is what makes it usable. It is also the boat we rank first for beginners, on beam and on how quickly it goes from bag to water.

Sea Eagle SE370
Twelve and a half feet of boat, 650 lb of capacity, 32 lb of hull, and it runs at 1.1 psi -- the lowest working pressure of anything here, which is why it is also one of the quickest to pump.
Six hundred and fifty pounds against 450, and 12 ft 6 in of hull against 10 ft, which is the difference between two adults with gear and two adults with gear plus whatever else you feel like bringing. It is also the quickest boat here to inflate at 1.1 psi, with Sea Eagle's own eight-minute claim behind it. The cons are bag and pressure: 58 linear inches is a big roll to carry, and 1.1 psi is a soft hull that flexes where a firmer one would not.
The trade-off
Low pressure means a soft hull. It is forgiving and it is slow. The packed bag is 31 x 19 x 8 inches -- 58 linear inches, so it checks, but it is a bulky thing to carry through an airport.

Which tandem packs smaller, the SE370 or the Voyager 2?+
The Driftsun Voyager 2, clearly. It packs to 26 x 16 x 8 inches, which is 50 linear inches, against the SE370's 31 x 19 x 8 inches, which is 58. Both clear the 62-inch economy checked-bag limit, but the Voyager 2 does it with twelve inches to spare and at 27 lb rather than 32 lb.
Is 450 lb enough capacity for two adults?+
For two average adults and light gear, yes, with the usual caveat: work to about two thirds of a rating rather than all of it. Two thirds of 450 lb is 300 lb, which two 150 lb paddlers fill exactly. Two 180 lb adults is 360 lb and past that line, which is the case for the SE370's 650 lb rating instead.
Which is faster to inflate?+
The SE370, and Sea Eagle is the only manufacturer in our registry that publishes a claim -- eight minutes. The reason is pressure rather than volume: 1.1 psi is the lowest working pressure we hold a figure for, and less pressure is less work. The Voyager 2's 2 psi sides are still a quick job compared with any paddle board, which run at 15.
Do both of these publish a chamber count?+
Yes, and both are three-chamber boats. That is the standard across the inflatable kayaks we cover and it means a single puncture is a paddle back to the launch rather than a swim. Only the Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame does better in our registry, with seven.
