NIXY Newport G5
Three hundred liters is the most volume in this registry. It is also about 192 hand-pump strokes, and those are the same fact.

- 300 L volume, the most in this registry.
- 33 in wide, also the widest here -- both of which make it the most stable.
- 21 lb board with a published 3-year warranty.
- About 192 hand-pump strokes to 15 psi, computed from that 300 L.
Volume is the most useful specification on a paddle board spec sheet and this board has the most of it. Three hundred liters, 33 inches of width, and a 300 lb rider limit is the most forgiving platform in this registry by a clear margin.
It is also, for exactly the same reason, the most work to inflate. Those two facts are not a coincidence; they are one fact seen from two ends.
The stability case
Two inches of extra width over the GILI Air's 31 does not sound like much and is very noticeable underfoot. Width is what resists the roll a paddle stroke puts into a board, and 33 inches is the widest here.
Volume does the other half: 300 L means the board sits high with a paddler on it rather than settling into the water. A board riding high is a board that has not started fighting you.
This is why it is our pick for a first board, and we would still choose it knowing the pumping.
The pumping, worked out
Three hundred liters at 15 psi needs 606 liters of free air. On a 2 L dual-action hand pump: about 111 double-action strokes to reach 7 psi, then about 82 single-action strokes to finish. Roughly 192 strokes in total, or about 4.8 minutes at a steady 40 a minute that nobody actually sustains.
On a two-stage electric pump published at 350 and 70 L/min, about 5.2 minutes -- barely faster in clock time and entirely different in effort. That comparison is the whole electric-pump argument.
What NIXY publishes and does not
A three-year warranty, which only one other product in this registry beats. A named construction -- dual-layer FusionTech laminated woven drop-stitch. A volume, which three of the eight boards here omit.
No packed size, which is the gap. On a 10'6 board with 300 L of volume that is the number a travel buyer needs, and it is why this board is our skip pick on the travel page despite being one of the best boards here.
Who should skip it
Anybody flying, on the packed-size uncertainty alone. And anybody who is going to resent five minutes of pumping every single time -- a lower-volume board is less work at every outing, and that adds up more than a single number suggests.

Questions people actually ask
How long does the NIXY Newport G5 take to inflate?
Is the NIXY Newport G5 good for beginners?
What is the Newport G5's packed size?
Everyone in this category says they tested twenty boats. We have not tested any, and we say so. What we did instead: pulled the published specifications and the owner's manuals, computed the pump load and the packed volume for every model that publishes enough to compute them, checked the packed sizes against the airline limits you will actually meet, and cited every page we read. The full method.
